Server issues & Version 1.7
If you tried to access this site in the last days you probably found a nice Internal Server error showing up. It seems like the hosting is having some overload. Don’t panic, I dispatched the files by email so nobody missed anything.
During this downtime all reported bugs where fixed and I switched directly to Version 1.7 which introduces only a new hidden feature and is mostly packed with bug fixes.
Can’t remember the size of the video you just have encoded? Don’t worry! Now you can choose to simply delete the vidWidth and vidHeight vars, FLV player Lite will detect that nothing has been set up and will automatically scan the metadata of the linked video for the original width and height. Even aspect ratio will be kept this way.
You still have to specify the div dimensions in your html document, though. Meta data of your videos is printed in the trace report of the flash sources, which comes handy for authoring.
Those who bought the PRO edition have already been notified with an encrypted download link. Remember, you can buy FLV player Lite at any time right here by just clicking the green cart box and after completing checkout you can pay it securely on paypal.

It’s nice to see your player is becoming better and better. Will you release soon a version 2.0 with new awesome features?
I don’t plan further updates for now. The latest version introduced mainly bugfixes. By adding more features bugs tend to increase. I didn’t expect people would ask for so much more features. The player was meant to be simple and lightweight, it’s rather difficult to keep every feature in a small file size.
I also plan to release a version in AS 3.0 but I really don’t know when as it’s still in early development.
